Montego Bay/Port Antonio-Friday

We woke up at 5:30 on Friday to make it back to St. James High School and do the show we never got to do with the Chino Hills team. Upon our arrival I did not find Omar again to take up our conversation. The show went well, but being teenagers, our audience wasn't very openly involved in the show. Again, being at a school meant that we had no time to talk to kids afterward, as they had to go to class. After that we left Hotel Montego and traveled five hours to Port Antonio with our new driver Mr. Betty. Due to our late breakfast after the school we did not eat lunch, but at a gas station along the way we bought snacks. Mr. Betty tried many different things to entertain us. First he had on a Michael Jackson music video. Then he put on a couple different CDs. But for the last two hours he put on a Jamaican movie called My Heart, which was about a girl who got pregnant and had to deal with the aftermath. He wanted us girls to "learn a lesson" but mostly our bus just made fun of the movie. Our hotel in Port Antonio is called Tim Bamboo and it is not bad. We were supposed to have a show Friday night, but it was raining and we were behind schedule, so we just stayed at the Hotel and had a worship and prayer night. It was definitely for the best. As we sang and prayed a lot of us revealed that we were scared and felt under attack. Through our worship we were able to kick off the entire week with confidence and mutual encouragement. Amy had a mental vision of the island of Jamaica covered by a dark cloud, then beams of light piercing through the cloud until the entire island was covered by beams of light. Needless to say we were all incredibly encouraged and felt ready to face the spiritual warfare as a team.
