Port Antonio-Monday

On Monday morning we went to Norwich Primary and Junior High and did a short show for the kids' morning devotional. We got there a little early, however, so we had a lot of time to talk to them and get to know some of them. Some of us got in a circle and started teaching them the motions to one of the songs in the show so that they would be "ahead of the game." Then we had a dance-off of sorts, in which John starting doing backflips. The show went well, and the kids really liked the puppets.

After breakfast, we went to Bound Brook Primary, which was by far our best school show. The kids were so excited to see us from the very start, and they really got into all of the songs, puppets, and skits, with enthusiastic cheering, dancing, and clapping. After the show, we got a ton of pictures with just about every kid who went there, I imagine, and twice as many hugs.

Before we left for our night show, we went up on the roof to pray and worship and encourage one another. It was really awesome to help one another and prepare for our show in that way.

Our night show was in a halfway vacant lot. There were a few junked cars and a dumpster nearby. A ton of people came out to that show, and quite a few people were reached. After that show, we continued that night with our tradition of highs and lows, and a lot of people said that Bound Brook was their high, just because the kids liked it so much. We also did another team exercise in which one person would compliment or encourage another, and then that person would do it to someone else. It was very good for building each other up right in the middle of the week like that.
